My face struggled with gleaming eyes
wrinkles moved aside
to make room for a longed smile
for separation of days
had come to an end
She finally came home, my dear
An unbearable burden was life in her absence
but no welcome was done for her
I walked to her, I held her hands
the white dress she wore, like the first snowfall
her golden necklace, like rays of the sun,
into the memory lane, my mind started to run.
I kissed her face, my lips caught the cold
that lingered all over her body.
I knew what had happened to her
yet I did not mourn
for she slept in this world,
she’ll wake up in another.
untravelled it is, it will be new,
she spent her time in this world with me,
she’ll be joined by a known face soon.
